The Disabilities Trust Joint Ventures

We acted for The Disabilities Trust and its associate the Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Trust, two significant charities in the United Kingdom devoted to assisting and rehabilitating people who have suffered brain injuries.

The Trust sought to establish a presence in Australia and we assisted it in forming a company limited by guarantee. Subsequently, we assisted it in negotiating two separate joint ventures in NSW and in Victoria with two important charities working in similar fields in Australia.

The Victorian joint venture agreement was successfully concluded last year and the joint venture’s new brain injury rehabilitation centre was launched by the Victorian Governor earlier in 2011.
